| Soldotna Alaska
Soldotna is located just 140 miles by the scenic, paved highway from
Anchorage. Soldotna is the central hub of the Kenai Peninsula. Soldotna borders
the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and other nearby state park lands that are
rich in wildlife, home to moose, caribou, black and brown bear, wolves, mountain
goats, dall sheep, eagles, ducks, geese, swans, birds, fish, and
numerous others. Moose often wander right into town, and bald eagles are
commonly seen. Soldotna is also famous for world class fishing.
